Embracing Our Future
Learning English for our future

ABOUT ME
Eventually, I grew from not having a clue in class to living a challenging but adjusted life in Canada. I went to a top university in Canada, made a few lifelong friendships there, and enjoyed shopping in the streets in Canada. I love the Canadian wilderness too! I can still remember the snow-capped mountains, clear blue lakes, and the pine tree smell.
I have kept a United Nations flag one of my buddies gave me- he said that I advocate world peace, and the UN stands for world peace, and he insisted that world peace is a Canadian value. Oh, and did I say the food was “strange” in Canada? Well, I now love my burgers and fries- can I have a vanilla milkshake on the side?
Of course, the key to adjusting to life in Canada was by and large due to all the support and guidance I received along the way. It would have been impossible to do this without my teachers and tutors, one of whom is now my mentor in my teaching career.
I believe that we are each formed differently, but we all have one thing in common- we can all be better equipped to face the challenges and opportunities in the future.
Others helped prepare me to embrace my future, and I now hope to do the same for you. Would you allow me to?

Justin
Good day, my name is Justin and I am highly interested in your growth!
Each person has a personal story and I think we need to know our past to embrace our future. So here is mine:
I was blessed with the opportunity to travel and live abroad in my youth. More specifically, I spent 13 childhood vacations in Malaysia; 6 months working in Mainland China; and my high school and university years studying in Canada.
I could never forget the culture shock I encountered when I first arrived in Canada: The food was “strange”. The North American slangs were hard to understand. I did not understand people’s communication styles. For the aforementioned reasons, my English grades suffered terribly, along with my other subjects. There was so much more to experience, but I didn’t know how to!
I decided that the biggest obstacle to experiencing a Canadian life was my English skills. Thus, I hired a private tutor to help me for the first year. I sought guidance from my school teachers. I purposefully watched North American television shows, and read English literature.
